Melbourne Day 2 - The Great Ocean Road

24 September 2013

We took some pictures at the Grand Pacific Hotel and its surrounding.

Breathtaking scenery at the Grand Pacific Hotel balcony.

 Morning jog, anyone?

Lorne Pier, a recreational fishing hotspot.

BREAKFAST Time!

The best burgers we had for breakfast at A Bottle of Milk, 52 Mountjoy Parade, Lorne, VIC

TRUST ME ON THIS! It is a MUST EAT burgers in Lorne.

It was a long journey to the 12 Apostles- Limestone Stacks (Between Port Campbell to Princetown).

However, it was worthwhile to witness this incredible collection of limestone stacks.

At the 12 apostles.

We did not have much time to visit the other limestone cliffs. We headed back to Apollo Bay for lunch and continued our journey to Queenscliff.

Lunch at almost 1500, at Café One 5 Three at Apollo Bay.
Food was YUMMY!

- Mussels          AUD 15
- Pie of the Day AUD 15
- Milk Shakes   AUD   5

Mussels, Pie of the Day and strawberry milk shakes.

OMG! We were running out of time. We have planned to catch a ferry from Queenscliff to Sorento.

Yes, Phillip Island is our next stop.

The last ferry is at 6pm!!! Time is ticking!

Luckily, we were on time to catch the last ferry. We reached Queenscliff harbour at 1755. Huh…

PS: It is much cheaper to buy the ferry ticket through online J

Sunset view at the top of the ferry deck.

When we reached Sorento, it was quite dark. We missed the Colourful Bathing Box L

Secondly, we were late for the check-in (until 1700).  There is a payment (very costly) for late check-in. So we planned to sleep in the car until the next morning to check-in.

The name of the place we have booked was Amaroo, Cowes, in Phillip Island.

TIPS: be aware that, each hotel has their own hotel policies. Thus, check-in and check-out time may vary.

GOODNIGHT!
