Kuala Besut, Terengganu - Zul Ikan Bakar and Bachok, Kelantan - Sudara Beach Resort

Zul Ikan Bakar

Opens from 8 pm - 2 am and closed on Monday.

The locals will usually explain that it is located near to the Kuala Besut Jetty.

The main landmark is a bridge. Cross the bridge and you will see this restaurant on your right, which is located at the end of the bridge.

Popular for its grilled fish and fried cuttlefish.

Be there early to avoid waiting.

We stayed at Sudara Beach Resort for a night before heading back to Kuala Terengganu.
From this resort, it took us about less than 20 minutes to reach Zul Ikan Bakar.

The resort seems to be new. We op for the Hotel Room, upper floor.
 Newly renovated. Clean and spacious.
However, disappointed by their washroom...

Room facing sea view!
 NICE!!

However, their chalets were not so well maintain.
Looks like they are still renovating the chalets parts by parts.

Ohya, no credit card accepted. Only cash. @.@

Swimming pool size is a bit too small. However, it is much easier for parents to supervise their children swimming or playing around the pool.

Kota Bahru - Chengmai Thai Food Restaurant

Authentic Thai food is here, at

Chengmai Thai Food Restaurant.

at Wakaf Baru, follow the route to Wat Phrachachinaram.
This single kampung lane will lead you to this restaurant (end of the road).
The restaurant is beside the KTM railway.

It's kinda dark if you go there at night. So, if this is your first time, go earlier before the night falls.

We have been there for few times, but only this time I took some pictures and blog it.

Here, they are famous for their pork knuckles and their Thai food.

For this trip, we tried their steam cuttlefish, "Four Heavenly Kings" (Sei Dai Tin Wong) and seafood tomyam.

The "Four Heavenly Kings" didn't mix that well with the sambal. So, we mixed it (kacau-kacau) then it only tasted much better.

Spicy + sweet and sour = Superb Thai food

Total price: about RM 40++.

YES! we will certainly go to this restaurant again, again, again and again.

PS: We were there at 5.45 pm. After 6.30 pm, it was getting crowded. So, be there early if you don't want to wait too long for the food to be served.

Kuala Terengganu - Nasi Kandar Padang Kota

Nasi Kandar Padang Kota

opens 24 hours; is a mamak stall concept restaurant.
located besides MYDIN, Bukit Besar.

So again.., weekend..., hungry in the middle of the night...
this was where we both had our supper.

Mee mamak goreng, roti cheese naan and tosai.

Cheese naan not that cheesy... but still it's acceptable.

The others generally ok.

PS: fulled of smokers at the open space. If you don't like any smoke near you, then  you have to sit inside the restaurant.

Kuala Terengganu - Restaurant Wan Hai

Restaurant Wan Hai

Located at Jalan Kampung Tiong (opposite Courts).
It is a halal restaurant.

Famous for two items:

1. Rojak

Rojak Ayam and Rojak Biasa ^^

For me, I loved both.
I will said, it is a MUST try FOOD in Kuala Terengganu!!

PS: Rojak Ayam Hashim closed on Friday.

2. Chicken Rice
Chicken rice.

In terms of the price, compared to Chuan Kee Restaurant, it is much cheaper and their portion is much bigger.

Taste; I will said that the chicken rice here are delicious!

add a combo of rojak. hahaha, what a treat in life!

Yea, come and try the chicken rice and rojak here!!
